Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Lacing: Ensure boots are laced securely but not overly tight. Experiment with lacing patterns to find the fit that best supports your foot and ankle.
- Break-in Period: While elite boots often feel comfortable immediately, allow a short break-in period (1-2 light training sessions) to allow the materials to adapt to your foot shape for optimal comfort and performance.
Compatibility:
- These boots are Firm Ground (FG) specific. They are designed exclusively for use on natural grass pitches that are firm and relatively dry.
- Do NOT use these boots on artificial grass (AG), soft ground (SG), or indoor (IC) surfaces. Using them on incompatible surfaces can lead to accelerated wear and tear on the studs and outsole, and may void any product guarantees.
Care:
Proper care will extend the lifespan and maintain the performance of your boots:
- Clean After Each Use: Immediately after playing, remove excess dirt and mud from the upper and soleplate using a soft brush or cloth. A damp cloth can be used for stubborn grime.
- Air Dry: Always allow your boots to air dry naturally in a cool, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight or artificial heat sources (like radiators). Stuffing them with newspaper can help absorb moisture and maintain their shape.
- Avoid Machine Washing: Do not machine wash or tumble dry your boots, as this can damage the materials and adhesives.
- Store Properly: Store your boots in a dry place. Using a boot bag can protect them during transport and storage.
- Refer to Product Label: For specific cleaning instructions or material recommendations, always refer to the care label provided inside the boot or with the original packaging.
