Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Lacing: Ensure laces are threaded evenly through all eyelets. Start from the toe and pull laces snugly but not too tightly. When reaching the mid-ankle collar, ensure the padding sits comfortably around your ankle before tying securely. The pull loop can assist in positioning your foot.
- Fit Check: Stand up and walk around to ensure a comfortable fit. Your toes should not touch the end of the boot, and your heel should feel secure without excessive slipping. Wear the type of socks you typically use for walking to get an accurate fit.
Compatibility
These boots are designed for adult women for outdoor activities such as hiking, nature walks, and general outdoor use. They are particularly suited for moderate trails and varying weather conditions where waterproofing is beneficial.
Care
- Cleaning: The synthetic upper should be cleaned with a soft damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive brushes, or strong detergents, as these can damage the waterproof membrane and material.
- Drying: After use, especially in wet conditions, allow the boots to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or direct sunlight, which can cause materials to crack or degrade.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight when not in use. Ensure they are clean and dry before storing to prevent mildew.
- Maintenance: Regularly check laces for wear and tear, and replace if necessary. Inspect the outsole for embedded debris that could affect grip. While the boots are waterproof, applying a suitable water-repellent treatment periodically can help maintain the outer layer's performance and prevent water saturation.
