FAQs

Are New Balance 327s true to size?

Yes, most users find that the 327 fits true to their standard UK size.

Can I run in these shoes?

While inspired by 70s runners, these are designed for lifestyle and casual use, not for high-mileage or technical running.

How do I protect the suede?

We recommend using a suede-safe water repellent spray to prevent water damage and minor stains.

Are these shoes machine washable?

No, machine washing can damage the suede and the structural integrity of the trainers. Clean by hand only.

Is the sole slippery?

The trail-inspired lug outsole provides excellent grip on most standard surfaces.

Are they suitable for wide feet?

The 327 has a standard fit; if you have particularly wide feet, you may find the silhouette snug due to the retro panelling.

Troubleshooting

Suede looks matted or worn

Use a soft suede brush to gently restore the nap of the material in a circular motion.

Stains on the suede upper

Use a specialized suede eraser for dry stains, or contact a professional shoe cleaning service for deeper marks.

Accumulated dirt on the lug outsole

Use a soft-bristled brush or an old toothbrush with mild soapy water to clean the grooves of the outsole.

Pros and Cons

Pros

High level of comfort for all-day wear
Stylish and versatile retro design
Sturdy grip provided by the lug outsole
Lightweight construction compared to other chunky trainers

Cons

Suede material requires careful protection from moisture
Lighter areas of the design may show dirt more easily
The chunky sole may not be suitable for high-performance athletic activities

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of your New Balance 327s, follow these guidelines:

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent the suede from fading.
Cleaning: Use a specialized suede brush to remove loose dirt and dust. Avoid submerging the shoes in water, as this can damage the suede texture.
Protection: Apply a water and stain repellent spray specifically designed for suede before the first use.
Compatibility: The neutral grey and black palette pairs easily with casual denim, joggers, or athletic wear, making them highly compatible with most modern wardrobes.
