Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Getting started with your Nike Zoom Fly 6 is as simple as lacing them up. Ensure the laces are snug but not overly tight to allow for comfortable foot expansion during your run. Experiment with different lacing techniques if you experience pressure points.
Compatibility
These shoes are designed primarily for road running. They are compatible with standard athletic socks, which can further enhance comfort and moisture-wicking. Pair them with your preferred running apparel for an optimal training or racing experience. While engineered for performance, their contemporary style also makes them suitable for active casual wear.
Care
Proper care will extend the life and maintain the performance of your Zoom Fly 6:
- Cleaning: After runs, especially in wet or dirty conditions, gently wipe the upper and midsole with a damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive brushes that could damage the materials.
- Drying: Always allow your shoes to air dry naturally. Remove the insoles to speed up the drying process and prevent odors. Do not place them in direct sunlight, on radiators, or in a tumble dryer, as extreme heat can damage the foam and adhesives.
- Storage: Store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid stuffing them into tight bags immediately after use, as this can trap moisture and odors.
- Odor Control: If odors develop, sprinkle a small amount of baking soda inside the shoes and let it sit overnight. Alternatively, use shoe deodorizers.
