Setup & First Wear
Your Dr. Martens Jadon boots are ready to wear right out of the box. For the first few wears, consider wearing thick socks to help with the break-in process and prevent rubbing. It's recommended to wear them for short periods initially, gradually increasing wear time as the leather softens and molds to your feet. The inside zip makes putting them on and taking them off simple once the laces are adjusted to your comfort.
Compatibility
These boots are incredibly versatile in styling. They pair well with:
- Casual Wear: Jeans, leggings, cargo pants, oversized sweaters.
- Edgy & Alternative Styles: Leather jackets, band t-shirts, distressed denim.
- Dressed Up: Midi skirts, flowy dresses, tailored trousers, adding an unexpected, bold contrast.
They are suitable for various climates, though they are not designed as specialized winter or extreme weather boots.
Care
To maintain the Polished Smooth leather and extend the life of your Jadon boots:
- Cleaning: Wipe away dirt with a damp cloth. For more stubborn grime, use Dr. Martens Wonder Balsam or a mild leather cleaner.
- Conditioning: Regularly apply Dr. Martens Wonder Balsam or a quality leather conditioner. This helps to nourish the leather, keep it supple, and prevent drying and cracking. Apply with a cloth, rubbing into the leather, especially during the break-in period.
- Polishing: To maintain the polished look, use Dr. Martens Shoe Polish. Apply a small amount with a cloth or brush, buffing to a shine. You can also buff them lightly for a more subtle sheen.
- Protection: Consider using a water and stain protector spray, especially if you plan to wear them in wet conditions. While Dr. Martens are durable, they are not fully waterproof unless specifically stated.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use shoe trees to help maintain their shape if desired. Avoid storing in plastic bags that can trap moisture.
