FAQs

Can I use this cover to prevent children from touching a hot radiator?

While the cover acts as a barrier, the front panel may still become warm. It is best used for aesthetic purposes rather than as a safety guard.

Does this cover block heat output?

All radiator covers can slightly reduce heat flow by design. However, the open design allows heat to circulate through the room effectively.

How do I measure my radiator?

Measure the widest point (including valves), the highest point from the floor, and the depth from the wall to the front of the radiator.

Is assembly required?

Yes, the product comes in pieces and requires assembly using the provided hardware.

What materials are used?

The cover is constructed from durable materials designed to handle the temperature variations near a radiator.

Troubleshooting

Cover does not sit flush against the wall

Check for skirting board interference; you may need to notch the side panels to allow for a flush fit.

Feeling trapped heat beneath the shelf

Ensure the top shelf is not overloaded and that there is adequate space between the radiator and the interior of the cover for air circulation.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Instantly improves the look of standard radiators
Creates useful shelf space for home decor
Modern ribbed texture provides visual interest
Easy to integrate into various room types

Cons

Requires careful measurement of existing radiator depth
May slightly reduce direct heat circulation
Requires assembly before installation

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure proper installation, measure your radiator height, width, and depth (including pipes and valves) to confirm the cover will fit comfortably over the unit. During setup, follow all provided assembly instructions to ensure the structure is stable. For maintenance, keep the surface clean by dusting regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners that may damage the finish. Ensure that the cover does not touch the radiator directly if the manufacturer indicates specific clearance requirements, as maintaining airflow is essential for the efficient operation of your home heating system.
