Care Instructions
Proper care is essential to maintain the quality, appearance, and longevity of your sheepskin and suede slippers. Follow these guidelines to keep your Disquette Slippers in excellent condition:
- Spot Cleaning: For small stains or dirt, gently blot the affected area with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid rubbing vigorously, as this can damage the nap of the suede or sheepskin.
- Specialized Cleaners: For deeper cleaning, it is highly recommended to use cleaning products specifically designed for sheepskin and suede. Follow the product's instructions carefully. Do not use harsh chemicals, bleach, or put your slippers in a washing machine, as this can ruin the natural materials.
- Drying: After cleaning, allow your slippers to air dry naturally at room temperature. Keep them away from direct heat sources (like radiators or hair dryers) and direct sunlight, as extreme heat can cause the materials to shrink, crack, or stiffen. You can stuff them lightly with paper towels to help absorb moisture and maintain their shape during drying.
- Brushing: Once completely dry, use a soft suede brush or a specialized sheepskin brush to gently restore the nap of the suede and fluff the sheepskin lining. Brush in one direction for a uniform appearance.
- Protection: To safeguard against future spills and moisture, consider applying a water and stain repellent spray specifically formulated for suede and sheepskin before initial wear and periodically thereafter.
- Storage: When not in use, store your slippers in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Avoid storing them in plastic bags, which can trap moisture and lead to mildew.
