Setup, Compatibility & Care
First Use
Upon receiving your Boss Single Breasted Blazer, gently remove it from its packaging. If any minor creases are present from shipping, hang it on a wide, padded hanger to allow them to relax naturally. For persistent creases, consult a professional cleaner for steaming.
Compatibility
This blazer is designed as a foundational piece for formal and business attire. It pairs seamlessly with:
- Shirts: White, light blue, or patterned dress shirts.
- Trousers: Matching black wool trousers for a suit look, or contrasting grey/charcoal tailored trousers.
- Ties/Bow Ties: Choose according to the formality of the occasion.
- Shoes: Polished leather dress shoes (oxfords, derbies, loafers).
Care Instructions
Proper care is crucial to maintain the pristine condition and longevity of your virgin wool blazer. Always refer to the specific garment labeling for the most accurate instructions.
- Cleaning: Gentle chemical dry clean only. Do not wash, tumble dry, bleach, or iron directly at high heat, as this can damage the wool fibers and interlining.
- Storage: Store on a broad, padded hanger to maintain the blazer's shape, especially the shoulders. Avoid wire hangers that can cause stretching or creasing.
- Air Out: After each wear, allow the blazer to air out for several hours before returning it to your closet. This helps dissipate moisture and odors.
- Spot Cleaning (Minor): For very minor surface marks, gently dab with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid rubbing, which can set the stain or damage the fabric. For anything more significant, professional dry cleaning is recommended.
- Brushing: Use a soft garment brush to remove dust, lint, and superficial dirt from the wool after wear. Brush in the direction of the fabric's nap.
- Avoid Over-Wearing: Give your blazer a rest between wears. Wool fibers benefit from recovery time to maintain their structure and elasticity.
