Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup
Your EverAu Wigeon Slippers require no complex setup. Simply unbox them and they are ready to wear. Due to the natural sheepskin wool, they might feel snug at first, but the wool will compress and mold to your foot for a personalized, comfortable fit within a few wears.
Compatibility
These slippers are designed for adults and are specified as a Female style, available in UK size 3. Their classic brown leather aesthetic makes them a versatile addition to most casual wardrobes.
Care
Proper care is essential to maintain the quality and extend the life of your EverAu Wigeon Slippers, especially with their suede and sheepskin materials:
- Initial Protection: Consider applying a suede and leather protector spray before the first wear, especially if you plan to use them outdoors frequently. Ensure the spray is suitable for both suede and sheepskin.
- Cleaning the Suede Upper:
- Light Dirt/Dust: Use a soft suede brush to gently brush away dirt and restore the nap.
- Stains: For minor stains, lightly dampen a clean cloth with cold water and a small amount of mild wool or suede cleaner. Gently blot the stain; do not rub vigorously. Allow to air dry naturally away from direct heat or sunlight.
- Cleaning the Sheepskin Lining:
- Freshening: You can occasionally sprinkle baking soda inside the slippers, let it sit for a few hours (or overnight), then shake it out to absorb odors.
- Spot Cleaning: For deeper cleaning, use a damp cloth with a specialized sheepskin cleaner. Gently wipe the affected area. Avoid soaking the wool.
- Drying: Always allow your slippers to air dry naturally. Do not put them in a dryer, expose them to direct heat (like a radiator), or strong sunlight, as this can damage the leather and wool.
- Water Resistance: The slippers feature a water-resistant coating, but they are not waterproof. Avoid heavy rain, puddles, or prolonged exposure to wet conditions. If they do get wet, stuff them with paper towels to absorb moisture and help maintain their shape while drying.
- Storage: When not in use, store your slippers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. You can use shoe trees or stuff them with tissue paper to help maintain their shape.
