FAQs

Is this coat waterproof?

The coat is made from cotton, which provides protection against light wind and moderate weather but is not considered fully waterproof.

What is the best way to clean this coat?

Professional dry cleaning is recommended to maintain the fabric's finish and the garment's internal structure.

Does the coat run true to size?

The coat features a straight, classic fit. If you plan to layer thick sweaters underneath, you may consider if your standard size provides enough room.

Can I remove the belt?

Yes, the belt is removable, allowing you to wear the coat open for a more relaxed, unstructured look.

Is the material heavy?

No, the cotton material is chosen for its suitability in transitional weather, making it lightweight and comfortable for layering.

Troubleshooting

Fabric appears wrinkled after storage

Use a garment steamer on a low setting or hang the coat in a steamy bathroom for a few minutes to allow wrinkles to relax.

Belt buckle slips during wear

Ensure the fabric strap is threaded through the buckle teeth correctly and pull the belt taut before fastening.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your trench coat remains in top condition, proper care is essential. Because the garment is crafted from cotton, it should be stored on a sturdy, padded hanger to maintain the shape of the shoulders and collar. When cleaning, always refer to the care label inside the coat; due to the structure and lining, professional dry cleaning is typically recommended to prevent shrinkage or damage to the internal lining. If the coat develops minor wrinkles from storage, a light steam treatment is generally safer than direct ironing. Always ensure pockets are emptied before storing to prevent the fabric from stretching out of shape.
