Setup, Compatibility & Care
This is a prescription veterinary diet and should only be fed as recommended by your veterinarian.
- Transitioning: Gradually introduce ROYAL CANIN® Urinary S/O dry cat food over 7-10 days, mixing increasing amounts of the new food with decreasing amounts of the old food.
- Feeding: Follow your veterinarian's prescribed daily feeding amount. Ensure fresh, clean water is available at all times. If mixed feeding with wet food is recommended, consult your veterinarian for appropriate rationing to achieve the desired therapeutic effect.
- Storage: Store the food in a cool, dry place. Reseal the bag tightly after each use to maintain freshness and prevent oxidation.
- Compatibility: This diet is specifically formulated for urinary health issues. It is not suitable for cats with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), heart disease requiring sodium restriction, or concurrent use of urine-acidifying medication. Consult your veterinarian for suitability if your cat has other health conditions.
- Care: No special care is required for the food itself, beyond proper storage. Regular veterinary check-ups are essential to monitor your cat's progress while on this diet.
