Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
This is a therapeutic diet, so the primary step is consultation with your veterinarian. They will determine if this specific food is appropriate for your cat's condition and provide a feeding plan.
Compatibility:
- This diet is specifically formulated for adult cats with urinary sensitivities. It is not suitable for kittens, pregnant or lactating cats.
- It is contraindicated for cats with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), heart disease requiring sodium restriction, or those receiving urine-acidifying medications.
- If mixing with wet food, ensure to follow correct rationing amounts provided by your veterinarian to maintain nutritional balance and calorie intake.
Care:
- Store the food in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Ensure the packaging is properly sealed between uses to maintain freshness.
- Always provide fresh, clean water for your cat. Increased water intake is beneficial for urinary health.
- Monitor your cat's weight and overall condition and report any changes to your veterinarian.
