Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your Mako - Oak boots last, keep them away from excessive heat sources like radiators, which can dry out and crack the leather. If the boots get wet, let them air dry naturally in a room-temperature environment rather than using a hair dryer. For cleaning, use a high-quality leather cleaner and conditioner to maintain the material's suppleness. Since these boots feature adjustable laces, take a moment when first trying them on to set the tension correctly; once established, the slip-on design will maintain that fit for subsequent wears. If you use custom orthotics, the factory insole may be removable, though the standard Memory Foam Lux insole is optimized for the boot's internal architecture.
