FAQs
Can I use this sheet on a standard mattress?
Yes, the 30cm skirt is designed to fit deep mattresses but will also secure tightly to standard thickness mattresses due to the fully elasticated edge.
Is the fabric suitable for sensitive skin?
The fabric is crafted for softness, but those with extreme sensitivities to textured materials should note the popcorn weave creates a raised surface.
Does this sheet come in different colours?
Yes, the Velosso range is available in several colours including Cream, Grey, Green, Beige, Blue, and Silver to suit various bedroom aesthetics.
How do I prevent the texture from pilling?
Wash the sheet separately from items with zippers, hooks, or velcro, and use a gentle cycle to minimize friction.
Is ironing required?
No, the popcorn texture is designed to look intentional and cozy without the need for ironing. If wrinkles occur, they often relax after being placed on the mattress.
Troubleshooting
Sheet pulling off the corners
Ensure the elastic is tucked fully under the mattress base; if using a topper, ensure the sheet is tucked beneath both the topper and the mattress.
Texture losing fluffiness after washing
Avoid over-drying in the machine; excessive heat can cause fibers to flatten. Air drying is recommended to maintain the natural bounce of the popcorn texture.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Provides significant warmth due to the textured material
- Stays securely in place thanks to the fully elasticated design
- Fits deep mattresses up to 30cm comfortably
- Easy to clean and maintain via machine washing
Cons
- Textured fabric may show wear differently than standard smooth sheets
- Surface may catch on sharp objects like jewelry or pet claws
- Requires careful drying to maintain the 'popcorn' texture
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To set up your Velosso sheet, locate the elasticated corners and align them with your mattress dimensions. The 30cm skirt is compatible with most standard and deep-profile mattresses. For care, always wash the sheet in a cold or warm cycle with like colours using a mild detergent. Avoid harsh bleach, which may damage the fibers. To preserve the texture and prevent pilling, tumble dry on a low heat setting or air dry whenever possible. Ensure the sheet is completely dry before placing it back on the mattress to prevent moisture buildup.
