Product Information

Full details

The Asics Netball Mid-Top Trainers are designed for adult female athletes seeking a blend of stability and support during high-intensity court play. These shoes excel at providing extra ankle security through their mid-top construction, making them a reliable choice for netball players who prioritize protection during quick pivots and jumps; however, users should note that the specialized mid-top frame may feel more rigid compared to low-cut running sneakers.

FAQs

Are these suitable for outdoor courts?

Yes, the durable construction is designed to handle both indoor and outdoor netball court surfaces.

Does the mid-top restrict ankle movement?

While it provides more support than a low-top, it is designed to offer stability without completely immobilizing the joint, allowing for natural movement.

Can I use orthotic insoles with these trainers?

Yes, the sockliners are generally removable, allowing you to insert your own specialized orthotics if needed.

How should I clean the white exterior?

Use a gentle soap solution and a soft cloth to spot clean, and allow them to air dry naturally.

Are these trainers true to size?

The Asics sizing for this series is standard for adult females, though we recommend checking your UK size against their size chart if you are between sizes.

Troubleshooting

Feeling of slippage inside the shoe

Ensure the laces are tensioned correctly using the eyelet furthest up the collar to lock the heel in place.

Accumulation of dust on the outsole

Use a soft-bristled brush or a damp cloth to clean the soles to maintain maximum court grip.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Enhanced ankle security from the mid-top design
Excellent lateral stability for pivoting
Durable build quality for long-term court use
Optimized grip for netball-specific maneuvers

Cons

Mid-top profile may limit ankle mobility slightly compared to low-tops
Requires a break-in period for the supportive collar
Specific to netball and may not be ideal for other sports

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the best performance, ensure you are wearing the correct size to maintain the integrity of the heel counter. These shoes are best used with performance athletic socks to prevent friction. To care for your Asics trainers, wipe them down with a damp cloth after outdoor use to remove dust and court debris. Avoid machine washing, as high heat and heavy agitation can degrade the cushioning materials and adhesive bonds. If the shoes become damp, air-dry them in a shaded, well-ventilated area away from direct heat sources like radiators, which can warp the materials.
