The Berghaus Wavertree Hooded Jacket is an ideal choice for active adults who need a versatile, all-weather outer layer for trekking, daily commuting, or general urban exploration. It provides reliable protection against the elements thanks to its water-repellent finish and flexible four-way stretch fabric, though its focus on breathability means it is best suited as a shell layer rather than an insulated winter coat.

It features a water-repellent finish designed to shed light rain, but it is not classified as a fully seam-sealed waterproof rain jacket.

Use a gentle machine cycle with a technical detergent and avoid fabric softeners to protect the fabric's properties.
Yes, the hood is adjustable, allowing you to tighten it for a more secure fit during windy or wet conditions.
Yes, the zip-fastening pockets are designed to securely accommodate common daily carry items, including most modern smartphones.
The DWR coating has likely worn off. Wash the jacket with a technical cleaner and re-apply a DWR spray treatment.
Clear any debris or grit from the zipper tracks. If they remain stiff, apply a specialized zipper lubricant or rub the teeth with a pencil lead to reduce friction.
To maintain the jacket's performance, always zip up all fasteners before washing. Machine wash on a gentle cycle using a technical fabric cleaner that preserves the water-repellent finish. Avoid fabric softeners as they can clog the breathability of the mesh and fabric. For the best care, tumble dry on a low setting or hang dry in a well-ventilated area. If water stops beading on the surface over time, consider using a spray-on DWR replenishment product to restore its weather-resistant properties.
