Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials, including any transit bolts at the rear of the machine which secure the drum during transport. Failure to remove these can cause serious damage during operation.
- Placement: Position the washing machine on a firm, level surface. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for ventilation and access.
- Leveling: Use a spirit level to ensure the machine is perfectly level. Adjust the leveling feet at the bottom corners until the machine is stable and doesn't rock.
- Water Connection: Connect the inlet hoses to the corresponding hot and cold water taps. Ensure connections are tight to prevent leaks. Always use new inlet hoses provided with the machine.
- Drainage: Securely attach the drain hose to a standpipe or laundry tub, ensuring it's properly hooked to prevent it from dislodging during a cycle.
- Power: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. Do not use extension cords or adapters.
Compatibility
This washing machine is designed for standard household plumbing and electrical systems. It requires a dedicated cold water supply and a 220-240V/50Hz grounded electrical outlet. Ensure your laundry area has adequate space for the machine's dimensions. > Info needed: Exact dimensions for compatibility checks.
Care
- Drum Cleaning: Run a 'Drum Clean' or 'Eco Drum Clean' cycle (if available) regularly (e.g., monthly) to remove detergent residue and bacteria, preventing odors.
- Detergent Drawer: Clean the detergent dispenser drawer periodically to remove accumulated detergent and fabric softener residue, which can block nozzles and cause dispensing issues.
- Lint Filter/Drain Pump Filter: Locate and clean the drain pump filter at the bottom front of the machine every few weeks. This prevents blockages and ensures efficient draining.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe down the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. For the black finish, use a non-abrasive cleaner if necessary and dry immediately to prevent water spots.
- Door Seal: After each wash, wipe the rubber door seal to remove any trapped water, lint, or debris, which helps prevent mold and mildew growth. Leave the door ajar between washes to allow the drum to air out.
