Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Using the Dripdrop Padded Waterproof Rain Suit is straightforward. Simply open the full-length front zip, help your child step into the suit, and then zip it up. The elasticated cuffs, ankles, and waistband are designed to naturally conform to your child's body, providing a secure fit without needing extensive adjustments. The grown-on hood is ready for immediate use, offering head protection as needed.
Compatibility
This rain suit is designed to be worn over your child's regular clothing. Its unisex design and various available sizes ensure broad compatibility. Given that sizes may run large, consider this when selecting the suit to ensure it comfortably accommodates inner layers without being overly bulky.
Care
Proper care is essential to maintain the waterproof and breathable properties of the Dripdrop Rain Suit:
- Washing: Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle. Use a small amount of mild detergent, specifically designed for technical outerwear if possible. Avoid using fabric softeners, bleach, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the waterproof membrane and taped seams.
- Drying: Hang the suit to air dry completely. Do not tumble dry, iron, or dry clean, as high heat can compromise the integrity of the waterproof coating and seams.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. Ensure it's completely dry before storing to prevent mildew.
- Re-Waterproofing: Over time, the suit's outer DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating may wear off. If water no longer beads on the surface, consider treating it with a wash-in or spray-on re-waterproofing product designed for breathable waterproof fabrics.
