Professional dry cleaning is required to protect the delicate satin fabric and the structure of the waist ruching.
The dress is designed as an off-shoulder Bardot style; pulling it higher may distort the neckline and the intended fit of the cap sleeves.
The dress follows standard UK sizing; however, because it is made of structured satin, it is recommended to check your measurements against the bust and waist for the best fit.
Yes, satin is a delicate weave. Be mindful of sharp jewelry, handbag hardware, or rough surfaces that could catch the threads.
A strapless, supportive bra is best for the Bardot neckline, and seamless undergarments will ensure a smooth silhouette under the satin fabric.
While minor adjustments to the length are usually possible, we recommend consulting a professional tailor experienced in working with luxury satin fabrics.
Use a handheld steamer on a low setting, keeping the nozzle a few inches away from the fabric to avoid water spots.
Lightly mist the inner lining of the dress with a static release spray or a tiny amount of water, avoiding the outer satin layer.
Before your event, ensure the dress is steamed gently to remove any wrinkles sustained during transport, as the satin fabric can be sensitive to high heat. Given the formal nature of this garment, we highly recommend professional dry cleaning to preserve the integrity of the fabric and the precision of the waist ruching. Store the dress in a breathable garment bag, preferably hanging to allow the fabric to drape naturally and prevent deep creasing. Avoid contact with sharp jewelry or abrasive surfaces that could pull the satin threads, and always apply perfumes or lotions before putting on the garment to prevent staining.
