Setup, Compatibility & Care
Proper setup and care will ensure your Thermos King Flask provides optimal performance and longevity.
Initial Setup
- Unpack: Remove all packaging materials and labels from the flask.
- First Wash: Before first use, wash the flask and all its components (stopper, serving cup) with warm soapy water using a mild dish soap.
- Rinse Thoroughly: Rinse all parts thoroughly with clean water to remove any soap residue.
- Dry: Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling the flask.
Compatibility
- Beverages: This flask is designed for a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, soup, water, and juices.
- Not Recommended: Avoid carbonated drinks, as pressure buildup can cause the stopper to eject forcibly. Also, extremely thick liquids or chunky foods may be difficult to pour and clean.
Care Instructions
- Hand Wash Only: This flask is NOT dishwasher safe. To preserve its vacuum insulation and external finish, always hand wash all components using a mild dish soap and a soft brush or sponge.
- Thorough Rinsing: Rinse thoroughly after washing to remove all soap residue, which can affect taste or lead to buildup.
- Drying: Allow all parts to air dry completely, or dry with a clean cloth, before reassembling and storing. This prevents odors, mildew, and potential rust.
- Deep Cleaning: For stubborn stains or odors, a mixture of baking soda (one teaspoon) and warm water can be used. Let it sit in the flask for a few hours or overnight, then rinse well.
- Storage: Store the flask with the stopper slightly ajar to allow air circulation and prevent any lingering odors from developing.
