Full details

Liquitex Basics Matte Gel Medium is a versatile acrylic medium designed to extend paint, add body, and reduce gloss for a smooth, matte finish. Ideal for mixing with acrylic colors, it enhances texture and gives more control over transparency and consistency. This thick, translucent painting medium retains brush strokes and improves color mixability, increasing color volume and slowing down color drying. It also serves as an excellent adhesive for collaging and dries to a matte finish. The acrylic paint maintains an oil-like consistency when mixed with Liquitex colors in tubes, removing the shine. Volume: 250ml. Matte Finish: Reduces shine for a flat, non-reflective surface. Thickening Agent: Increases viscosity for better brush stroke retention and impasto techniques. Mixable: Blend with acrylic paints to adjust sheen and texture. Adhesive Qualities: Great for collage and mixed media projects. Water-based: Non-toxic and easy to clean. Perfect for artists and crafters seeking subtle, matte effects and improved paint handling.
