FAQs

How do I find my perfect shade?

Test shades on your jawline in natural light. Consider your skin's undertone (warm, cool, or neutral) when selecting a shade.

What kind of skin is this foundation best for?

It is best for normal, combination, and oily skin types due to its matte and oil-free formula.

Can I use this foundation if I have dry skin?

While the foundation can be used by those with dry skin, proper moisturizing and priming is essential. Consider using a hydrating primer before application.

How long does this foundation last?

The wear time varies depending on your skin type and environmental factors. Setting with powder can help extend its wear.

What is the PAO symbol, and why is it important?

PAO (Period After Opening) symbol denotes the product expiry time after opening the pack. It indicates how long the product is safe to use after it has been opened.

How should I apply the foundation?

You can apply it with a sponge, brush, or your fingers. The method depends on your preference and the desired coverage.

How do I prevent the foundation from looking cakey?

Apply in thin layers, use a damp sponge or beauty blender for application, and ensure your skin is properly moisturized before applying the foundation.

Troubleshooting

Foundation appears cakey or patchy.

Ensure your skin is properly moisturized and primed before application. Use a damp sponge or beauty blender to apply and blend the foundation. Use less product, building up coverage gradually.

Foundation doesn't match my skin tone.

Take your time selecting a shade. Consider your undertone (warm, cool, or neutral). Blend the foundation into your jawline in natural light to check the match.

Foundation emphasizes pores.

Use a pore-minimizing primer before applying the foundation. Apply the foundation in thin layers, pressing it into the skin rather than rubbing. Set with a pore-blurring powder.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Preparation: Start with a clean, moisturized face. Apply a primer suitable for your skin type to create a smooth base.
Application: Use a sponge, brush, or your fingers to apply the foundation. Start with a small amount and build up coverage as needed.
Blending: Blend the foundation outwards and downwards to avoid harsh lines, focusing on areas where you need coverage.
Setting: Set the foundation with a setting powder to increase longevity and control shine.
Compatibility: This foundation works well with other Maybelline products and most makeup brands. Be sure to check product labels for any potential irritants if you have sensitive skin.
Care: Store in a cool, dry place. Ensure the cap is tightly closed after use. Note the PAO (Period After Opening) symbol on the packaging to determine the product's expiry date after opening.
