Product Information

Full details

The SES Creative Blow Airbrush Pens 12-Pack is designed for young artists who want to explore spray-paint effects and creative layering in a safe, multisensory way. This set provides the unique ability to switch between traditional felt-tip drawing and airbrushing, with the added bonus of scented markers to make art projects more engaging. While the washable ink offers peace of mind for parents, users should note that consistent breath control is required to achieve uniform airbrush patterns, which may take some practice for younger children.

FAQs

Are the markers safe for children?

Yes, they are designed for young artists, and the ink is non-toxic and washable.

Does the ink stain clothing?

The ink is designed to wash easily from most fabrics, but it is always recommended to protect workspaces and wear play clothes during art sessions.

Can I use these pens without the tubes?

Yes, you can remove the markers from the tubes and use them as standard felt-tip markers for drawing and coloring.

Do the scents fade over time?

The scents are intended to last for a significant duration, but they may become less noticeable if the markers are left uncapped for extended periods.

What is the best way to clean the airbrush tubes?

If you notice a buildup of ink, simply rinse the removable plastic components in lukewarm water and ensure they are 100% dry before re-inserting the markers.

Troubleshooting

The spray is uneven or blotchy.

Ensure the air tube is free of moisture and the marker tip is fully inserted; practice steady, consistent breathing instead of rapid, short puffs.

No ink is coming out during airbrushing.

Check that the marker is not dried out by testing it as a normal felt-tip; if it works as a pen, ensure the tube is not blocked with dust or dried ink.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Versatile dual-use design for drawing and spraying
Easy-to-clean washable ink formula
Engaging scent variety adds a multisensory element
Helps develop fine motor skills and breath control

Cons

Requires significant breath control for even spraying
May be challenging for very young children to use the airbrush tool independently
Limited to 12 colors, which may restrict advanced color mixing

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup is straightforward: simply remove the cap of the desired marker and insert it into the specialized blowing tube until it clicks or sits snugly. Ensure the ventilation holes on the tube are kept clear during use.

For care and maintenance:

Always replace the marker caps immediately after use to prevent the ink from drying out.
If the airbrush tube becomes clogged with ink residue, rinse the tip area with warm water and allow it to air dry completely before the next use.
Store the markers in a cool, dry place and keep them in their original packaging to keep the scents and ink quality preserved.
