Setup, Compatibility & Care
Proper setup and care ensure optimal performance and longevity of your Shark Steam Scrub Automatic Steam Mop.
Initial Setup:
- Assemble the Mop: Securely connect the handle and main body to the mop head. Ensure all components click into place.
- Fill Water Tank: Remove the 0.35L water tank and fill it with clean tap water. Avoid using distilled water unless specified in the full manual. Reinsert the tank firmly.
- Attach Pads: Press the machine-washable mopping pads firmly onto the bottom of the mop head until they are securely attached.
- Plug In: Connect the 8m power cord to a grounded electrical outlet. The mop is now ready to heat up and use.
Compatibility:
- The Shark Steam Scrub Mop is designed exclusively for all sealed hard floors. This includes:
- Hardwood
- Marble
- Tile
- Stone
- Laminate
- Vinyl
- Do not use on unsealed floors, unfinished wood, or carpeted surfaces, as this can cause damage.
Care and Maintenance:
- Mopping Pads: The provided mopping pads are machine-washable. Wash them regularly according to the instructions on their label to maintain cleaning performance. Always ensure pads are clean before use.
- Water Tank: Empty any remaining water from the tank after each use. Periodically rinse the tank to prevent mineral buildup.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe down the exterior of the mop with a damp cloth as needed to keep it clean.
- Storage: Store the mop in an upright position in a dry area. Ensure the water tank is empty before storage.
- Descaling: Info needed: Refer to the full product manual for specific descaling instructions or recommendations, if applicable, to prevent mineral buildup in the steam system.
