The Timberland Authentic 3-Eye Lug generally runs true to size, but consider the initial stiffness of the leather when deciding on your fit.
Yes, the 360-degree lacing system is designed to be functional and can be replaced if the original rawhide laces wear out.
While they feature a rugged lug sole, they are designed primarily as lifestyle boat shoes and not as dedicated hiking footwear.
Wearing socks is recommended to improve comfort and hygiene, especially during the initial break-in phase.
Wear the shoes for short periods around the house with thick socks to gently soften the leather.

Use a stiff-bristled brush to remove dried mud or debris trapped between the lugs.
To ensure your shoes last, begin by applying a leather conditioner to keep the material supple and prevent cracking. Use the functional lacing system to adjust the tension, ensuring the heel does not slip while walking. When not in use, store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. To clean, wipe away surface dirt with a soft brush or a damp cloth and allow them to air dry naturally away from high-heat sources like radiators, which can damage the leather finish.
