Ensure accurate sizing by measuring the child's foot. Consider the lacing or adjust insoles if applicable for a snugger fit. If still uncomfortable, consult size charts or try a half-size up or down.

Apply a quality leather conditioner according to the product's instructions. Allow the conditioner to absorb fully before wearing the shoes.

Clean the rubber outsole thoroughly with a brush and water to remove any embedded dirt or debris that might be affecting grip.

Ensure the shoes are adequately aired out between wears. Stuffing with newspaper can help absorb moisture if shoes become wet. Allow them to dry completely before the next use.
