Full details
The ASICS GEL DEDICATE 9 PADEL trainers are designed for adult padel players who require a blend of stability, comfort, and impact absorption during high-intensity court play. Featuring signature ASICS cushioning technology, these shoes excel at supporting quick directional changes and sudden stops; however, they are specifically optimized for court surfaces and may not offer the same longevity if used extensively on abrasive outdoor concrete.

FAQs
Can these be used for tennis?
While designed for padel, the stability features make them suitable for tennis as well, though the outsole is optimized for padel court traction.
How do I determine my size?
These shoes follow standard UK adult sizing; ensure you leave about a half-inch of space in the toe box for comfort.
Are these shoes machine washable?
No, machine washing can damage the adhesive and cushioning technology. Stick to hand cleaning with a cloth.
Do I need to break these in?
They are comfortable out of the box, but a light session or two will allow the materials to mold perfectly to your foot shape.
Is the material breathable?
Yes, the upper is constructed to allow for adequate airflow, helping to keep your feet cool during intense matches.
Troubleshooting
Feeling slippage inside the shoe during play
Ensure the laces are tightened properly or consider using a performance sock with a thicker weave.
Accumulation of court dust on the outsole
Use a soft-bristled brush or a slightly damp cloth to wipe the rubber outsole to restore traction.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Excellent shock absorption for joint protection
- Provides high levels of lateral stability
- Durable build quality for long-lasting court use
- Lightweight feel enables quick movement
Cons
- White colorway shows dirt easily
- Specific to court sports; not intended for running or cross-training
- Requires proper surface conditions for best traction
Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the best performance from your trainers, ensure they are laced securely but not overly tight, allowing for natural foot swelling during exercise. These shoes are compatible with standard court surfaces used in padel.
Care Instructions:
- Wipe clean with a damp cloth after each session to remove court dust.
- Air dry naturally in a well-ventilated area; avoid direct heat sources like radiators which can degrade materials.
- Remove the insole periodically to let moisture evaporate.
- Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
