Product Information

Full details

These The North Face Flex 8 inch Tight Shorts are designed for adult women seeking comfort and performance during various activities like workouts, hiking, or city strolls. The key benefit is their ability to keep you cool and dry with moisture-wicking fabric and a secure fit thanks to a wide, adjustable waistband. A potential caveat is that the 8-inch inseam may be shorter than preferred for some users seeking more coverage. Features include FlashDry fabric, a contour waistband with internal power mesh, and a 20.32 cm inseam.

FAQs

What type of activities are these shorts best suited for?

These shorts are versatile and suitable for workouts, training, hiking, running, and casual everyday wear.

How do I determine the right size?

Consult the sizing chart provided by The North Face. Measurements typically include waist and hip circumference.

Are these shorts suitable for very hot weather?

Yes, the FlashDry fabric is designed to wick moisture and keep you cool and dry, making them effective in hot conditions.

Can I wear these for swimming?

While they are quick-drying, they are not designed as swimwear and may not offer the same performance or durability in chlorinated or saltwater.

What is the inseam length?

The inseam length is 8 inches (approximately 20.32 cm).

How should I clean the shorts to maintain their performance?

Machine wash cold with like colors and tumble dry low. Do not use fabric softeners or bleach.

Troubleshooting

Shorts feel too tight or restrictive

Ensure you have selected the correct size. Refer to the sizing chart. The waistband is adjustable for a more custom fit.

Moisture-wicking performance seems reduced

Check that you are following the care instructions. Avoid using fabric softeners and ensure the garment is properly clean.

Waistband is not staying in place

Try adjusting the waistband tighter using its internal mechanism. Ensure there is no excessive friction from other garments that might cause slippage.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Excellent moisture-wicking capabilities to keep you dry.
Secure and adjustable waistband for a comfortable, non-slip fit.
Versatile design suitable for multiple physical activities.
Durable polyester material for long-lasting wear.

Cons

The 8-inch inseam might be too short for users preferring more leg coverage.
May lack compression features that some athletes prefer.
Limited pocket space, if any, might be an issue for carrying small items.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: These shorts require no setup and are ready to wear out of the package.

Compatibility: Designed for adult women, they are compatible with various athletic and casual tops. Available in sizes S, M, L, and XL.

Care Instructions: To maintain the integrity of the FlashDry fabric and overall garment, machine wash cold with like colors and tumble dry low. Avoid using fabric softeners, as they can reduce the fabric's wicking properties. Do not bleach or iron.
