Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure your loafers remain in excellent condition:
- Initial Fit: Ensure the size is correct upon purchase, as leather can stretch slightly but will not drastically change shape. Always test with the socks you intend to wear.
- Cleaning: Wipe down the leather regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. For deeper cleaning, use a dedicated leather cleaner suitable for high-end accessories.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use cedar shoe trees to help the leather maintain its shape and absorb excess moisture.
- Maintenance: If the leather sole wears down significantly, consult a professional cobbler for a replacement or a topy (rubber sole protector) to increase longevity.
