Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Try Them On: Ensure you have the correct UK 10 size for a snug yet comfortable fit. Performance boots often feel tight initially but should not be painful.
- Break-In Period: Wear the boots for a few short sessions (e.g., training drills, light kickabouts) before using them in a full match. This allows the materials to mold to your feet, improving comfort and fit.
- Lacing: Experiment with lacing techniques to find the securest and most comfortable fit for your foot shape.
Compatibility
- Playing Surface: Exclusively compatible with Firm Ground (FG) natural grass pitches. Do not use on artificial grass (AG), soft ground (SG), or indoor surfaces.
- Socks: Wear your preferred football socks. Thicker socks might require a slightly larger boot size, but for performance, a thinner, moisture-wicking sock is often preferred.
Product Care
Regular care extends the life and performance of your boots:
- Clean After Use: Immediately after each use, wipe off all mud and dirt from the upper and soleplate with a damp cloth or soft brush. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Remove Insole: If possible, remove insoles to allow them and the boot's interior to air out completely.
- Air Dry: Always air dry your boots naturally at room temperature. Never use direct heat sources like radiators or tumble dryers, as this can damage materials.
- Stuffing: You can stuff the boots with newspaper to absorb moisture and help maintain their shape while drying.
- Storage: Store boots in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Using a boot bag can protect them during transport.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect studs for wear or damage and the upper for any signs of tearing.
