FAQs
Can I put the plastic parts in the dishwasher?
Yes, all removable components are dishwasher-safe for convenient cleaning.
Does it require removing skins from fruits?
No, the powerful motor and wide chute are designed to process most fruits whole, though you should remove thick, bitter rinds like those on citrus or melons.
How much juice can it make at once?
The system is capable of extracting up to 2.5 litres of juice before you need to empty the pulp container.
What is the weight of the unit?
The Braun MultiJuice 7 weighs approximately 4.9 kg.
Does it work with leafy greens?
Yes, but for best results, roll leafy greens into a ball or bundle them between harder items like apples to ensure they are processed through the juicing screen effectively.
Troubleshooting
Juicer fails to start when turned on
Ensure the safety arm is locked securely into place; the motor will not engage unless the unit is fully assembled.
Excessive pulp or juice leaking from the lid
Check if the pulp container is full and ensure the filter basket is seated correctly on the drive shaft.
Difficulty cleaning the mesh screen
Soak the screen in warm soapy water for 5 minutes and use the provided dedicated cleaning brush to clear blocked pores.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Processes whole produce without pre-cutting
- High nutrient retention due to cool extraction
- Easy to clean with dishwasher-safe components
- Large 2.5L capacity for continuous juicing sessions
Cons
- Requires significant vertical clearance due to height
- Sturdy but relatively heavy for smaller kitchens
- Requires manual cleaning of the mesh screen occasionally
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Ensure the unit is placed on a flat, stable surface with at least 15cm of clearance above for the feed chute. To assemble, align the pulp container with the base, secure the juice collector, and lock the lid using the safety arm. After every use, unlock the safety arm to remove the top lid and filter basket. While the components are dishwasher-safe, hand-washing the stainless steel mesh filter with the included brush is recommended to remove stubborn pulp fibers. Periodically check the non-stick coating of the pulp container; do not use abrasive sponges that might compromise the material.
