Twin and Earth Cable is the most common cable used for domestic wiring, available in various lengths. This BASEC Approved cable meets BS 6004:2012 standards and is UKAS Certified and CE Marked, manufactured by Pitacs. The cable features individually insulated live and neutral wires in blue/brown PVC, with a bare earth wire. The overall construction is encased in a grey PVC outer sheath. The 1.0mm, 1.5mm & 2.5mm variants have a solid copper conductor, while larger sizes use stranded copper. Commonly used for ring main sockets, radial sockets, immersion heaters, boilers, and plugs. Supplied on a reel for 100m lengths, rolled for over 50m, and hand-rolled for smaller lengths. Suitable for indoor use only. Professional installation by a qualified electrician is recommended.
