Store it folded in a cool, dry place. Avoid hanging it, as the weight of the wool can cause the shoulders to lose their shape.
Use a fabric shaver or a sweater stone gently to remove surface pills without damaging the wool structure.
Ensure you are using a mild wool-specific detergent and consider a very gentle soak in cool water to soften the fibers before drying flat.
As this is a premium knitwear garment, proper care is essential to extend its lifespan. The manufacturer specifies hand washing only; avoid machine agitation which can damage the wool fibers or cause shrinking. Lay the cardigan flat on a clean towel to air dry, avoiding direct sunlight or high heat sources which can warp the knit. Ensure it is stored folded rather than hung on a hanger, as the weight of the wool may cause the shoulders to stretch out over time.
