Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Kaha 2 Frost hiking shoes, proper care is essential:
- Cleaning: After use in snow or mud, remove loose debris with a soft brush. Use lukewarm water and mild soap to clean the exterior. Avoid abrasive sponges.
- Drying: Always allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Never place them directly on a heat source (like a radiator or fireplace), as extreme heat can damage the GORE-TEX membrane and warp the insulation.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use for long periods.
- Compatibility: These shoes pair well with gaiters for deep snow conditions and are compatible with most standard hiking socks. Given the insulation, ensure you are not wearing overly thick socks that may restrict blood flow, as this can negate the shoe's thermal properties.
