FAQs
Are these socks suitable for summer riding?
While they offer thermal protection, they are primarily designed for cooler conditions; they may feel too warm in extreme summer heat.
What does the 18 cm measurement refer to?
The 18 cm refers to the height of the cuff, measured from the ankle bone upwards.
Can I tumble dry these socks?
It is not recommended to tumble dry; air drying is best to preserve the elasticity and performance fibers.
Are these socks gender-specific?
The Castelli Alpha 18 Socks are generally categorized as unisex, offering a versatile fit for most adult cyclists.
Do these socks provide extra padding?
They are designed for a performance fit rather than heavy cushioning, ensuring they don't add bulk inside tight racing shoes.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your Castelli Alpha 18 Socks, it is recommended to wash them in cold water on a delicate cycle. Avoid using heavy fabric softeners, as these can compromise the moisture-wicking fibers. When setting up, ensure the sock is pulled evenly across the midfoot to prevent pressure points. These socks are highly compatible with standard road cycling shoes and provide a snug, secure fit that prevents slipping within the shoe during out-of-the-saddle efforts.
