Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup
Upon receiving your adidas Harden Volume 9 shoes, take time to adjust the unique lacing system to your foot. Wear your preferred basketball socks and lace them up, ensuring a snug but comfortable fit. Walk around and perform some light movements to feel how the shoe conforms to your foot. Minor adjustments may be needed over the first few wears as the shoe breaks in.
Compatibility
These shoes are designed primarily for indoor basketball court use. While the durable rubber outsole can withstand occasional outdoor play, continuous use on abrasive outdoor surfaces may accelerate wear. They are compatible with a wide range of athletic socks, though thicker, performance-oriented basketball socks are recommended for optimal comfort, moisture-wicking, and a secure fit.
Care
To ensure the longevity and appearance of your Harden Volume 9 shoes:
- Cleaning the Upper: For the synthetic and textile upper, use a soft brush or cloth with a mild soap and water solution to gently scrub away dirt. Avoid harsh chemicals.
- Cleaning the Outsole: The rubber outsole can be cleaned with a stiff brush and water to remove dirt and maintain optimal traction. Pay attention to the herringbone grooves.
- Drying: Allow shoes to air dry naturally at room temperature. Avoid direct sunlight or artificial heat sources, as these can damage materials.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures.
- Avoid Machine Washing: Do not machine wash or tumble dry, as this can severely damage the shoe's construction and materials.
