Product Information

Full details

The AGV K7 Graphic Motorcycle Helmet is designed for adult riders seeking premium protection and comfort for both long-distance touring and urban commuting. Its key benefit is the blend of lightweight durability, advanced safety features, and optimized aerodynamics for a stable and secure ride. A potential caveat is that while it offers a precision fit, achieving a truly custom feel may require careful selection of shell and EPS options. This helmet features a high-quality composite fibre shell, superior aerodynamics tested in wind tunnels, enhanced safety elements like a reduced collarbone impact profile, multiple shell and EPS sizes for a precise fit, an advanced ventilation system, and a wide field of vision with Pinlock integration.

FAQs

What safety standard does the AGV K7 helmet meet?

The AGV K7 helmet meets and surpasses the ECE 2206 safety standard, which is the latest European safety regulation for motorcycle helmets.

How do I clean the helmet's interior?

The interior lining and cheek pads are typically removable. You can usually hand wash them with mild soap and water and then allow them to air dry completely before reinserting.

Is the AGV K7 suitable for cold weather riding?

While the helmet offers advanced ventilation, it is designed for general riding conditions. For very cold weather, riders may need to consider additional thermal protection for their face and neck. The included Pinlock insert helps prevent visor fogging in colder, humid conditions.

What is the warranty period for the AGV K7 helmet?

The AGV K7 comes with a 2-year warranty, with the option to extend it to 5 years upon registration with AGV.

Can I replace the visor if it gets scratched?

Yes, replacement visors are typically available for the AGV K7. You can also purchase replacement Pinlock inserts separately if needed.

How does the aerodynamic design benefit the rider?

The optimized aerodynamic design, tested in wind tunnels, reduces air resistance and turbulence. This leads to improved stability at high speeds, a quieter ride by minimizing wind noise, and less rider fatigue over long distances.

Troubleshooting

Helmet feels too tight or has pressure points.

Check if you have selected the correct shell size and EPS liner. Consider trying different thickness cheek pads for a more customized fit. If issues persist, consult AGV sizing recommendations or a professional fitter.

Visor fogs up despite Pinlock insert.

Ensure the Pinlock insert is properly seated against the main visor. Check for any damage or debris on the sealing edge of the Pinlock. Clean both the visor and the Pinlock insert regularly.

Wind noise is still noticeable.

Ensure all parts of the helmet, including the visor seal and cheek pads, are properly fitted and secured. For persistent noise issues, consider adding earplugs, which are recommended for long rides anyway.

Ventilation seems inadequate.

Ensure all vents are open and not blocked by debris. Check that the interior lining is correctly positioned to allow airflow from the vents.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Initial Setup:

Fit Check: Ensure the helmet is correctly sized. The helmet should feel snug but not uncomfortable, with no excessive pressure points. Consult the sizing guide and consider trying on different shell/EPS sizes if available.
Visor and Pinlock: The helmet comes with a visor and an anti-fog Pinlock insert. Ensure the Pinlock is correctly installed on the inside of the main visor as per its instructions to provide maximum anti-fog performance.
Chin Strap: Adjust the double D-ring chin strap for a secure fit. It should be snug enough to prevent the helmet from moving during a ride.

Compatibility:

ECE 2206 Certified: Meets the latest European safety standards.
Pinlock 120 XLT MaxVision: Compatible with the included advanced anti-fog insert.

Care Instructions:

Shell: Clean the exterior with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap if necessary. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish.
Interior: The helmet's interior lining and cheek pads are often removable for cleaning. Refer to the specific instructions for your helmet model on how to remove and wash them (usually by hand with mild soap and water, then air-dried).
Visor: Clean the visor with a soft cloth and water or a dedicated visor cleaner. Avoid using abrasive materials that could scratch the surface or damage coatings. Always ensure the Pinlock insert is clean for optimal performance.
