FAQs

Are these shoes suitable for running?

While the XT-6 provides great stability and support, it is engineered primarily as a versatile trainer for walking and light outdoor activities rather than a dedicated long-distance running shoe.

Does this model come in different widths?

The XT-6 is designed with a standard unisex fit that accommodates most foot widths effectively.

Can I wash these in a washing machine?

No, it is highly recommended to avoid machine washing as it can compromise the structural integrity and adhesive bonds of the shoe.

How do I determine my size?

Refer to the standard UK sizing guide provided. If you are between sizes, we recommend opting for the larger size to ensure comfort.

Are these shoes waterproof?

The XT-6 is crafted from breathable materials designed for durability, but they are not classified as waterproof.

What is the primary material used?

The shoes utilize a combination of high-density synthetic uppers and a robust rubber outsole for longevity and performance.

Troubleshooting

Feeling discomfort during the first few wears

The XT-6 has a robust chassis; perform short walks initially to allow the structural components to soften to your foot shape.

Surface stains on the white material

Use a specialized footwear cleaner or a mixture of mild soap and warm water with a soft cloth to gently spot-clean the affected areas.

Pros and Cons

Pros

High level of structural stability for all-day comfort
Versatile design suitable for trails and urban settings
Premium materials ensure long-term durability
Modern, eye-catching aesthetic

Cons

May feel slightly rigid for users preferring soft, flexible trainers
Requires a break-in period for optimal comfort
White colorway requires regular cleaning to maintain appearance

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your Salomon XT-6 trainers remain in top condition, follow these guidelines:

Sizing: These trainers fit true to size for most adults, but wear your preferred athletic socks during the initial fitting to ensure proper clearance.
Break-in: Wear them for short durations for the first few days to allow the upper materials to adapt to your unique foot shape.
Cleaning: Use a soft-bristle brush to remove dry dirt or mud. For tougher stains, use a mild soap solution with a damp cloth; avoid submerging in water or using harsh detergents.
Drying: Always air dry at room temperature away from direct heat sources, such as radiators, to prevent material damage or deformation.
