Osram Smart+ Wifi Smoke Detector

It is recommended to test the smoke detector at least once a month using the test button or the SMART+ App to ensure it is functioning correctly.

The detector uses a CR123 battery, which provides over 5 years of operational life under normal conditions.

The SMART+ App allows for remote monitoring and status checks. While it alerts you to smoke, silencing the audible alarm is typically done via a button on the device itself after the situation is assessed.

The contamination compensator is a feature designed to reduce the likelihood of false alarms caused by dust, dirt, or other airborne particles entering the sensor chamber.

This is a SMART+ WIFI SMOKE DETECTOR, meaning it connects directly to your Wi-Fi network and the SMART+ App. It does not require a separate hub for its core smart functionality.

The audible alarm is rated at a loud >85 dB to ensure it can be heard throughout a typical home.

Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4 GHz and the signal is strong at the installation location. Restart your router and the smoke detector. Verify you are entering the correct Wi-Fi password.

Clean the sensor vents gently with a vacuum cleaner brush attachment or compressed air. Ensure the detector is not located near cooking appliances, humidifiers, or areas with high levels of dust or steam. Check if contamination compensators are functioning as expected.

Verify that notifications are enabled for the SMART+ App in your smartphone's settings. Check that the smoke detector is connected to Wi-Fi and showing as online in the app. Ensure your smartphone has an active internet connection.

Replace the CR123 battery with a new, high-quality one. Dispose of the old battery responsibly.
