Product Information

Full details

This Polo Ralph Lauren Oxford Shirt in Coastal Beige is designed for the adult male seeking timeless style with a modern, tailored fit. Its key benefit lies in its versatility, offering breathable comfort and a polished look suitable for both casual and semi-formal occasions. A potential consideration is the 'Custom Fit' which is trimmer than a classic fit but less fitted than a slim fit, so sizing may require attention for those accustomed to other Ralph Lauren fits. Key features include premium Oxford cotton fabric, a button-down collar, classic button cuffs, and the signature embroidered pony logo.

FAQs

What is the 'Custom Fit' of this shirt?

The Custom Fit is a Ralph Lauren designation that offers a trim silhouette in between their Classic Fit and Slim Fit. It is tailored through the waist for a more modern look without being overly tight.

What type of fabric is this shirt made from?

The shirt is crafted from 100% premium Oxford cotton, known for its breathability and durability.

How should I care for my Oxford shirt?

It is recommended to machine wash cold with like colors, tumble dry low, and iron warm if needed. Avoid bleach.

Is this shirt suitable for formal occasions?

While versatile, this Oxford shirt with a button-down collar is best suited for business casual or smart-casual occasions rather than highly formal events. It pairs well with blazers or can be worn on its own.

Does the embroidered pony logo come in different colors?

The color of the embroidered pony logo typically matches or complements the shirt's color. In this Coastal Beige variant, the pony is likely in a matching or subtly contrasting thread color.

Can I roll up the sleeves?

Yes, the classic button cuffs are designed to allow for easy rolling of the sleeves when a more casual look is desired.

Troubleshooting

Shirt appears wrinkled after washing.

Remove the shirt from the dryer promptly. Iron while slightly damp on a warm setting. Alternatively, hang the shirt in a steamy bathroom for a few minutes.

Color fading.

Ensure you are washing with like colors and using cold water. Avoid harsh detergents or bleach. Consider air-drying instead of tumble-drying on high heat.

Collar or cuffs losing shape.

Follow the recommended washing and ironing instructions carefully. Avoid over-drying in the machine. Ensure proper storage, hanging the shirt instead of folding.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Versatile design suitable for multiple occasions.
Breathable and comfortable 100% cotton fabric.

Cons

Custom Fit may require trying on for optimal fit compared to Classic or Slim fits.

May be perceived as a less formal option than dress shirts with spread collars.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

This shirt requires no setup; it arrives ready to wear. It is highly compatible with a variety of menswear staples, including chinos, jeans, dress trousers, blazers, and sweaters.

Care Instructions:

Machine Wash Cold: Wash with like colors on a gentle cycle.
Tumble Dry Low: Remove promptly to avoid wrinkles.
Warm Iron: Iron if needed, preferably while the shirt is slightly damp for best results.
Do Not Bleach: Avoid using bleach as it can damage the fabric and color.
Dry Clean (Optional): Can be dry-cleaned if preferred for maintaining fabric integrity.
