FAQs

Can this be displayed in direct sunlight outdoors?

While it can be displayed in sheltered outdoor spots, prolonged exposure to direct UV rays and harsh rain may degrade the finish over time.

Does it come with mounting hardware?

Mounting hardware is typically not included as the required fastener depends on the wall material (e.g., drywall, brick, or wood).

Is the material heavy?

The plaque is designed for standard wall mounting, but it is recommended to use an anchor appropriate for your specific wall type to ensure a secure fit.

Can I paint this plaque?

While it is possible, doing so may void any potential warranties and affect the original artisanal finish designed by the manufacturer.

What does the Green Man symbolize?

In Celtic and Pagan traditions, the Green Man is a symbol of rebirth, the cycle of growth, and the connection between humans and the forest.

Is this suitable for a bathroom?

As long as it is not in direct contact with water (such as inside a shower), it can be used in a bathroom to add to a nature-themed decor style.

Troubleshooting

Plaque is wobbling on the wall

Ensure the wall mount is flush; you may need to apply a small piece of mounting putty or felt padding behind the plaque to stabilize it.

Dust buildup in deep crevices

Use a soft-bristled brush or a compressed air canister to gently remove dust from the intricate vine and leaf textures.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Captivating artistic detail that serves as an excellent conversation starter
Versatile mounting options for both interior and sheltered exterior walls
High-quality construction reflecting traditional folklore themes
Perfect gift for nature lovers, gardeners, and fantasy enthusiasts

Cons

Not intended for prolonged exposure to harsh, direct weather conditions
Requires careful handling during mounting to avoid surface scuffs
Single-sided design limits display orientation

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To mount the plaque, ensure the wall surface is clean and level. Use a secure hook or screw capable of supporting the weight of the sculpture, ensuring the back of the plaque is flush against the wall to prevent movement. For indoor settings, a simple dusting with a soft, dry cloth is sufficient to maintain the appearance. If placed outdoors in a sheltered area, check periodically for debris or moisture accumulation behind the plaque. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive sponges, as these may strip the color detail and texture from the plaque over time.
