Setup, Compatibility & Care
Upon arrival, ensure the plants are well-watered. When potting, choose a container with sufficient drainage holes to prevent root rot. Position your pots in a spot that receives plenty of natural light. During the spring and summer, maintain regular watering, allowing the top layer of soil to dry slightly between sessions. As winter approaches, you must move the pots into a conservatory, greenhouse, or frost-free shed. Once the plants have matured significantly and have developed a thick, woody stem, they may develop increased frost tolerance, but it is always safer to protect them in extreme temperatures. Prune only to remove spent or damaged foliage in the spring.
