Yes, these shoes feature GORE-TEX technology, which provides a waterproof and breathable membrane to protect your feet from wet weather.
The split-tongue eliminates the tongue shifting that is common in standard shoes, providing a more secure and comfortable "wrap" around the midfoot.
While the Gel Lyte 3 originated as a performance runner, modern versions are optimized for lifestyle and casual wear rather than high-intensity athletic training.
Use a soft brush to remove dust and a lightly dampened cloth for stains. Avoid using harsh chemicals or machine washing, as this can damage the leather and the GORE-TEX membrane.
The Gel Lyte 3 typically follows standard adult sizing, though the unique tongue structure may provide a snug feel compared to traditional footwear.
The split-tongue design is meant to overlap; adjust the two sides individually until they rest comfortably against the bridge of your foot.
Clean off accumulated dirt and road grime from the exterior. If necessary, apply a GORE-TEX safe water-repellent spray to maintain the outer material's breathability and water resistance.
To ensure your shoes remain in peak condition, store them in a cool, dry place away from direct heat sources. When cleaning, use a soft-bristled brush to remove dry dirt from the leather upper and use a damp cloth for any stubborn stains; avoid submerging them in water, as this can degrade the specialized materials. Ensure you lace the split tongue correctly to maintain the intended anatomical fit around the bridge of your foot.
