FAQs

Is the jacket fully waterproof?

The nylon fabric is water-resistant, designed to handle light rain and snow, but it is not intended for heavy, prolonged downpours.

Can I machine wash this jacket?

Professional cleaning is highly recommended. Machine washing can damage the internal structure of the down fill.

How do I remove the hood trim?

The trim is designed to be easily detachable; locate the snaps or buttons along the hood edge to remove it.

What temperature range is this jacket suitable for?

While individual cold tolerance varies, the heavy down fill is intended for cold to freezing winter temperatures.

Is the fit true to size?

Moncler Enfant sizing generally follows standard children's size charts, but it is always best to refer to the specific size guide for the exact model.

Troubleshooting

Down feathers poking through fabric

This is normal for high-quality down. Do not pull the feather; instead, pull it back in from the inside of the garment or gently rub the fabric to realign the weave.

Loss of loft after storage

Gently shake and pat the jacket to redistribute the down and restore volume.

Surface stains on the nylon

Spot clean the area with a mild soap and a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals that can damage the water-resistant coating.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Superior warmth-to-weight ratio provided by heavy down fill
  • Water-resistant nylon shell suitable for varied weather
  • Versatile hood design with detachable trim
  • Durable construction built for active use
  • Classic, timeless aesthetic suitable for any occasion

Cons

  • Requires professional cleaning to protect the down insulation
  • Premium materials demand careful handling to avoid snags
  • Less breathable than synthetic alternatives during high-intensity sports

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of your Moncler Enfant jacket, proper care is essential. Always check the internal garment tag for specific care instructions. Because of the down filling, it is generally recommended to have the jacket professionally dry-cleaned by a service experienced in handling down-filled apparel. Avoid storing the jacket in a compressed space for long periods, as this can crush the down; hanging it in a breathable garment bag is ideal. If the jacket becomes wet, shake it out and allow it to air dry completely in a well-ventilated area away from direct heat sources to restore its loft.
