Setup, Compatibility & Care
Before installation, inspect the door for any transit damage and store it in a dry, flat environment away from direct heat sources. Because the door is provided unfinished, you must seal all surfaces—including the top, bottom, and side edges—with a suitable high-quality wood finish, such as a polyurethane lacquer, stain, or paint. This step is critical to prevent the oak from warping or swelling due to changes in humidity. Ensure that you use hinges and latches compatible with the door's specific thickness, typically 40mm, and avoid trimming the door excessively, as this may compromise the structural integrity of the stiles and rails.
