These boots are specifically engineered for shorter synthetic turf (TF) football pitches, offering optimal traction and stability on artificial grass.
After use, wipe off dirt with a damp cloth. For tougher grime, a soft brush can be used. Always air dry them at room temperature, away from direct heat sources. Do not machine wash.
The Mercurial Superfly line generally features a snug, narrower fit. While some stretching can occur over time, players with very wide feet might find them restrictive. It's recommended to try them on for fit.
A snug fit minimizes the space between your foot and the boot, providing a more direct feel for the ball and enhancing responsiveness for quick movements, turns, and acceleration.
While technically possible, these boots are optimized for football on synthetic turf. The specialized sole pattern may not offer the best comfort or grip on hard surfaces like concrete or indoors, and could lead to premature wear.
Yes, it is generally recommended to have a short break-in period of 1-2 light training sessions. This allows the materials to soften and conform to your foot shape for maximum comfort and performance.
Ensure you have the correct size. The Mercurial line is known for a snug fit, so a slight break-in period is normal. If discomfort persists, check lacing or consider if a different boot model might suit your foot shape better.
Verify you are playing on a shorter synthetic turf (TF) surface, for which these boots are designed. Clean the outsole thoroughly, as debris can reduce traction. If playing on other surfaces, these boots may not be suitable.
Ensure you are using the boots exclusively on the intended TF surfaces. Using them on abrasive surfaces like concrete or inappropriate pitch types can accelerate wear. Follow recommended care instructions carefully.
Check your lacing; ensure it's tight enough to secure your foot without discomfort. Consider wearing thicker football socks to improve the lockdown. If the issue persists, the boots might be slightly too large.
