Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
As a mechanical watch, the Max Bill Chronoscope requires manual winding to set the time and date, and to power the movement. Ensure the crown is pulled out to the correct position for setting. If the watch has stopped, it will need to be fully wound by turning the crown clockwise until resistance is felt.
Compatibility:
This watch is a mechanical timepiece and does not have electronic compatibility requirements. It is designed to be worn on the wrist. Strap compatibility may vary; consult official documentation for specific strap sizes if considering a replacement.
Care:
- Winding: Wind the watch daily, ideally at the same time, to maintain consistent power reserve.
- Cleaning: Wipe the case and crystal with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Water Resistance: Check the specific water resistance rating for your model. Avoid exposing it to water beyond its limits. For watches with chronograph functions, ensure the pushers are not operated while submerged.
- Servicing: Mechanical watches require periodic servicing (typically every 3-5 years) by a qualified watchmaker to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
