A refurbished iPhone has been previously owned and then professionally inspected, tested, cleaned, and repaired as necessary to restore it to full working condition. It might have minor cosmetic imperfections but functions like new. It offers a more budget-friendly option compared to a brand new device.
Yes, the iPhone 16 Pro typically features a degree of water and dust resistance, rated under IEC standard 60529. However, this is not permanent and resistance might decrease over time or with normal wear and tear. Liquid damage is not covered under warranty.
No, Apple iPhones do not support expandable storage via microSD cards. The internal storage of 128 GB is fixed. Consider utilizing cloud storage services like iCloud or upgrading to a model with more internal storage if you anticipate needing more space.
Typically, refurbished iPhones, like new ones, do not include a power adapter (wall charger) or headphones in the box. It usually comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable. You will need to use your existing power adapter or purchase one separately.
As a 2024 model, the iPhone 16 Pro would ship with the latest version of iOS available at its release, which would be iOS 18. You can update it to future iOS versions as they become available.
You can check the battery health by going to Settings > Battery > Battery Health & Charging. This section will show you the 'Maximum Capacity' of your battery relative to when it was new. For refurbished devices, this might be slightly below 100% but should still be at a good level for optimal performance.
Ensure the device is charged. Connect it to a charger and wait a few minutes. If it still doesn't respond, try a force restart: quickly press and release the Volume Up button, then quickly press and release the Volume Down button, then press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple logo.
The '85 hours' is likely for specific, low-power usage like audio playback. For general use, battery life will vary. Check 'Battery Health' in Settings > Battery > Battery Health & Charging. If the maximum capacity is significantly below 100%, consider a battery replacement. Also, identify and manage apps consuming high power in 'Battery Usage' settings.
Ensure your iOS is up to date in Settings > General > Software Update. Close unused background apps. Clear app caches or reinstall problematic apps. If the issue persists, a factory reset might be necessary after backing up your data.
For 5G, ensure you are in an area with 5G coverage and your cellular plan supports it. For Wi-Fi 7, verify your router supports Wi-Fi 7 and that the iPhone's Wi-Fi is enabled. Try toggling Airplane Mode on and off, or resetting network settings in Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
