Product Information
Full details
The Vans La Costa Slide-On (Checkerboard) in UK 11 is designed for adults seeking comfort and iconic style for casual wear. Its key benefit is the blend of all-day wearability with classic Vans aesthetics. A potential caveat is its material composition, which is primarily polyester, making it less ideal for rugged outdoor use or extreme weather conditions. This slide features a slip-on design with a synthetic strap adorned in the signature checkerboard pattern, offering easy wear and a timeless look.

FAQs
What material are the Vans La Costa Slide-Ons made of?
The uppers, lining, and cushioning are made of 100% polyester. The sole is also primarily polyester.
Are these slides suitable for sports or running?
No, these slides are designed for casual wear and comfort. They do not offer the support or traction needed for sports or running.
Can I wear these in the shower or pool?
While they can withstand light water exposure and dry relatively quickly, they are not specifically designed for prolonged submersion or extremely wet environments. Be cautious of slippery surfaces around pools.
How do I find the right size?
This guide specifies a UK 11. Refer to standard Vans sizing charts for adult footwear to ensure the best fit, considering the slip-on nature of the shoe.
Are these available in other colors or patterns?
The product information indicates this variant features the classic checkerboard pattern. Other colorways or patterns may exist within the Vans La Costa series, but are not detailed here.
Is the checkerboard pattern printed or woven?
The product details suggest a synthetic strap with the pattern, typically indicating a printed design on polyester material.
Troubleshooting
Slides feel too tight or too loose.
Due to the nature of slide design and polyester material, there is minimal stretch. Ensure you have selected the correct size. For a tighter fit, consider adding a thin insole. For a looser fit, ensure the strap is not restricting your foot.
Checkerboard pattern is fading.
Avoid excessive exposure to direct sunlight and harsh cleaning agents. Clean gently with a damp cloth as per care instructions.
Soles feel slippery on wet surfaces.
The polyester sole offers limited grip on wet or smooth surfaces. Exercise caution when walking on wet tiles, polished floors, or slick outdoor areas.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: These slides require no setup; they are ready to wear straight out of the box.
Compatibility: The Vans La Costa Slide-On is designed for adult foot sizes, specifically UK 11 in this variant. It is suitable for most casual outfits and occasions where open footwear is appropriate.
Care: To maintain the appearance and longevity of your La Costa Slide-Ons:
- Cleaning: Wipe the uppers and footbed with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the polyester material and the checkerboard print.
- Drying: If the slides get wet, allow them to air dry naturally at room temperature. Do not place them near direct heat sources like radiators or in direct sunlight for extended periods, as this can cause shrinkage or warping.
- Storage: Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight when not in use. A shoe rack or box is ideal.
