Isotex 15000 is a waterproof and breathable membrane technology. '15000' refers to the hydrostatic head rating (15,000mm), indicating its high level of water resistance, and implies good breathability for comfort.
This is a shell jacket, meaning its primary function is to provide waterproof and windproof protection. It is not heavily insulated and is designed to be layered over other clothing for warmth in colder conditions.
Refer to the Regatta sizing chart for children's ages and corresponding measurements. This jacket is listed as UK size 3-4 years.
Yes, the Isotex 15000 fabric and fully taped seams are designed to provide effective protection even in heavy rain.
For optimal performance, re-waterproofing is recommended annually or when you notice water is no longer 'beading' on the surface. Follow the instructions on your chosen waterproofing product.
The jacket features a grown-on hood, which is integrated into the design for coverage. It is not explicitly stated as adjustable, but its design aims to provide a secure fit.
Ensure all zippers and fasteners are closed. The waterproof treatment may need refreshing; consider a wash-in waterproofing product designed for outdoor gear.
This indicates reduced breathability. Check that the garment is not overly soiled, as dirt can clog the pores. Clean according to care instructions. Ensure the child is not overheating due to excessive layering.
Gently clean the zipper teeth with a damp cloth and a small amount of mild soap. Dry thoroughly and try using a graphite pencil or wax to lubricate the teeth.
Setup: This jacket requires no setup; it is ready to wear straight out of the packaging.
Compatibility: Designed for children aged 3-4 years (UK size). It can be layered over other clothing for added warmth.
